Quality Engineer (MIN 2 YEARS EXP)

DUTIES:

With a focus on continuous improvement, assist in the development and implementation of department processes, documentation, and goals that comply with AS9100

Ensure manufacturing adherence to all procedures and develop inspection documentation for all processes of manufacturing (receiving, in-process, final inspection)

Assist in reviewing all internal/external non-conformances and coordinate corrective action to prevent recurrence

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs

Develop and implement methods for testing, analysis and auditing to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

Coordinate government and other external inspections/audits

Review and approve Engineering planning to ensure Quality requirements are being met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering and purchasing to identify quality improvement opportunities.

Monitor supplier performance

Participate in meetings, conduct training, provide updates on progress, and contribute to effective communication within the team

Perform benchmarking of enterprise best practices

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Follow company rules and guidelines

Other duties may be assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other equivalent engineering degree preferred

5+ years of experience and minimum 3 years in an ISO9001/AS9100 QMS or other regulated manufacturing environment

Experience with development and evaluation of measurement instruments and equipment

Processing of non-conformances

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in the aerospace industry preferred

Work hours: 6 AM- 2:30 PM
