Category Contracts Manager

LHH is working with a tenured client who is expanding int the Cedar Rapids, IA area and looking for a strong category sourcing candidate who support the full cycle contract process across procurement. They are needing to see strong procurement contract experience as well as construction industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Focus on vendor agreements, 3rd party agreements, as well as standard sourcing bid to vendors and full life cycle agreement execution.

Direct hands on execution of a large volume of contracts on a sliding scale below and above a million dollars - for preconstruction through to completion of the building/warehouses

Negotiating, redlining, editing, and overall creation of contracts.

Communication directly with vendors on pricing, timelines, and product details.

Requirements

Minimum 6 years of contract specific category sourcing management

Minimum 2 years in construction industry procurement

Technical capability – understanding of cycle time, vendor count, interactions with stakeholders to deliver on expectations
