Project Manager at Family Office and portfolio companies
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to work closely with the CIO of the Family Office. The family office manages multiple companies; your work will focus on supporting three portfolio companies (one public company and two small to mid-size employers). You will play a pivotal role in driving the portfolio company's growth, as well as new investment opportunities. You will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO/COO of the portfolio companies as well, helping to shape and execute the respective companies' strategy, streamline operations, and ensure effective communication across the organizations.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and refine the company's short-term and long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and vision.
Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes, enhance efficiency, and drive scalability across different departments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication between departments to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving company goals.
Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking mechanisms to monitor the company's progress against strategic objectives.
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and present data-driven insights to inform decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
Project Management: Oversee critical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met.
Executive Support: Provide high-level support to the CIO, including preparing presentations, reports, and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
Change Management: Facilitate organizational change by guiding teams through periods of growth, transformation, and adaptation.
Communication: Craft clear and concise internal communications, announcements, and updates to keep employees informed and engaged.
Leadership Development: Contribute to the development of leadership and talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5 years of experience in a senior management, strategy, product, or operations role within a technology-driven company.
Proven experience working in a Project Manager or Chief of Staff capacity or equivalent, providing strategic support to senior executives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and drive data-informed decisions.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing and executing cross-functional initiatives.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Adaptability and a growth mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Healthcare or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
This position is not remote. This will be in person, 5 days a week, at our offices in Stamford, CT.
