The Opportunity
Aunt Sally’s Pralines is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team.
Since 1935, Aunt Sally’s Pralines has been part of New Orleans as a family-owned candy, gourmet foods, and authentic gifts business. As we build on nearly a century of handcrafting our beloved pralines, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to increase sales across grocery, hospitality, and event channels by opening new accounts, growing existing relationships, coordinating in-store promotions, and representing our brand at key events. Duties and Responsibilities
As an Outside Sales Representative reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Manager, your primary responsibility will be to increase sales through the following key initiatives.
Grocery
Open new accounts.
Gain new items in existing accounts.
Execute strategic in-store tasting events.
Work with wholesalers to sell and execute displays, sell and execute new products, and ensure accounts are well stocked and pricing is correct.
Hotels
Open new accounts, including new hotels and new outlets within hotels (gift shops, room service, turndown service, welcome bags, catering events, restaurants).
Work with concierges and other hotel staff to motivate visitors to visit our retail stores.
Events
Represent Aunt Sally’s at events targeted at wholesalers, retailers, and retailer grand openings.
Other
Work within a team to execute delivery of gift baskets if needed in busy season (November and December).
Location and Nature of Work
This position is based in Louisiana with a concentration in New Orleans. As an Outside Sales Representative, the majority of your time will be spent in the field in New Orleans, driving to meet customers and potential new customers at their places of business.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience calling on grocery stores as a sales representative and/or merchandiser. Experience calling on Rouses stores is a plus.
Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and car insurance required.
