Responsibilities:
Own financial planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close.
Manage all financial operations, encompassing payroll, A/P, A/R, cash flow, and banking.
Generate and present bi-weekly financial reports and KPIs to leadership.
Assist with fundraising activities through financial data and projections.
Oversee key HR functions like onboarding and state tax compliance.
Support broader operational best practices, including recruiting, G&A software, and compliance efforts (SOC 2, info-sec).
Qualifications/Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
5 years of experience in finance role, to include working in startup environments
Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
Advanced level of Excel and familiarity with Google Sheets
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing processes
Familiarity with Series A or early-stage venture-backed funding environments
