I'm looking for an Optical Engineer for a contract role for Meta.
This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
In this role, you will work with a team of scientists & engineers, using internally developed simulation tools to predict system level performance of novel products and prototypes. Analysis of the simulation results will be used to directly improve product/prototype performance.
Job Responsibilities
Use simulation tools to model end-to-end performance of display systems
Report analysis of these simulations to establish specifications for these display systems and ensure a successful product
Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiences
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of several of the following:
µLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD, etc based displays, display metrology/calibration,
image signal processing, camera ISP, display pipeline architecture, digital filters, colorimetry, color space conversions, imaging waveguides, image quality metrics, human perception.
Experience with image algorithm/ISP development, convolutions, Fourier transforms
Deep experience in MATLAB
BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work/education experience.
Preferred Qualifications
MS in the field of Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related degree, PhD preferred
5+ years of experience in research or advanced display/camera development
This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Meta.
The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $75hour - $85/hour.
