Position Overview:
As a GM Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing systems for all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs. Paid GM training if needed.

You are GM Certified
You are focused on quality and consistently meet or exceed productivity and service standards
You are a team player and can effectively communicate with service team members to ensure customers are receiving accurate and timely information about their vehicle
You are a reliable individual with a proven work ethic
You have the keen ability to identify problems efficiently and timely
You have 2 + years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, along with diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
You continuously learn new technical information and techniques through training to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology
Essential Functions:
Perform quality repairs on assigned repair orders. Fix the vehicle right the first time and make a quality check after each repair
Conduct road tests to determine the work required
Advise the Service Manager of needed repairs, including parts needs, and advise the manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions on the repair order
Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities
Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures
Retain essential tools necessary to complete assigned repairs
Maintain a clean and safe work area and locking up all tools daily
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all customer interactions, co-workers, and vendors
Requirements:
GM Certified
Previous (2+ years) of automotive technician experience
At least 18 years of age
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
Authorized to work in the United States
