· The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check as well as other investigative reviews. Must have 72 hours of experience in any combination of the following:

· Teaching and/or administrative experience in special education instruction and procedures as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

· Implementing school improvement processes (e.g., analyzing data, project management, improvement planning, progress monitoring).

· Administrative experience dealing with Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) related rules, policies, and procedures (e.g., writing & implementing special education procedures and required documents).

Under the direction of the Program Administrator of Nonpublic Educational Options, provide technical assistance and support in the implementation of the Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarship programs:

· Researches all operations related to Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarship programs and provides technical assistance to providers;

· Assists with the determination and implementation of program policies and procedures (e.g., payment schedule, eligibility, deadlines, application process, visitation schedules, responses to inquiries);

· Interprets for parents the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA);

· Improves program administration and client satisfaction through surveys and other processes;

· Periodically conducts site visits of participating providers;

· Prepares reports on provider compliance with regulations;

· Provides technical assistance to district and provider personnel with regard to Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarship policies and requirements;

· Responds to inquiries from public school personnel, provider personnel, students and families, and the general public.

· Develops and updates office communications (e.g. newsletters, FAQs, forms, surveys, web content, etc.) for internal and external (districts, providers, families, students, etc.) stakeholders

· Serves as a liaison between specified offices within ODE (e.g., Office for Exceptional Children, Office of Communications & Outreach, Office of Information Technology).

· Conducts technical fiscal and program workshops regarding Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarship program regulations, guidance & operational strategies for provider personnel, designated public school district personnel, and student applicants and families;

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.
