What You'll Do:
Under direction of agency 9-1-1 Administrator, oversees Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), provides support, ensures compliance, & supervises County Coordinators to ensure all counties are following established program guidelines under OAC 5507 & ORC 128.
Develop & maintain the support & compliance program & update to ensure all requirements meet the ORC & OAC.
Develop & implement audit policies & procedures.
Develop & implement technical assistance to agencies (PSAPs) under jurisdiction of the Ohio 9-1-1 Program Office & Statewide 9-1-1 Steering Committee.
Receive & respond to queries from PSAPs across the state concerning 9-1-1 operations.
Conduct audits at all 88 counties & report critical & noncompliance issues for resolution.
Based on the audit, validate PSAP(s) compliance with OAC 5507 & ORC 128. & prepare a report to the 9-1-1 Administrator based on the findings recommending compliance or non-compliance.
Adjust audit procedures to meet unexpected or complex situations.
Provide audit program reports & recommendations to the 9-1- 1 Administrator & the Statewide 9-1-1 Steering Committee.
Provide training reports & recommendations to the 9-1-1 Administrator & the Statewide 9-1-1 Steering Committee.
Represent the 9-1-1 Administrator at meetings with Federal, State, & Local agencies and trade organizations when needed.
Handle sensitive issues with agencies concerning audits.
Develop training for PSAPs to comply with PSAP Technical & Operational Standards in OAC 5507 & ORC Chapter 128.
Attend training & maintain awareness of current & upcoming industry trends and best practices according to Federal, State & Local standards

Minimum Qualifications:
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
