Job Description:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with strong proposal development experience to join our Scottsdale-based team. In this hybrid role, you'll be part of a proposal "bench," contributing to live proposal efforts and undertaking Client standard tasks such as modeling and simulation, requirements management, V&V, and system integration during interim periods.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity (minimum 12 months) with potential long-term placement on the MUOS program-the largest within our Space, Cyber & Intelligence Systems (SC&I) business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support proposal documents, including Basis of Estimates (BOEs
Apply systems engineering practices across modeling, simulation, test, integration, and requirements analysis
Analyze and integrate program technical and financial data to support proposal submissions
Create and update technical documentation aligned to current program timelines
Apply systems engineering practices across modeling, simulation, test, integration, and requirements analysis
Participate in collaborative, onsite work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Work closely with MUOS teams to assimilate evolving technical and operational needs into proposal content
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field (Master's degree with 3+ years, or Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience)
Prior experience in defense/aerospace proposal development (Shipley, APMP, or similar processes)
Experience with DOORS for requirements management
MBSE tools experience (MagicDraw or Cameo)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
Ability to interpret and leverage historical cost and technical data
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Agile development experience preferred
Familiarity with DoD contracts and acquisition processes
PMP certification or relevant credentials are a plus
