Job Title: Information Governance Risk Analyst

Location: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Cleveland, Pittsburgh

Work Environment: Onsite

Term: Full-Time / Permanent

General Summary: The Information Governance (IG) Risk Analyst will support the Firm’s global data governance operations under the direct management of the Information Privacy Manager. The IG Risk Analyst’s responsibilities include data governance program implementation, monitoring, management, support and maintenance. The IG Risk Analyst should have demonstrable success in team-work, consensus-building, and effective communication to accomplish goals. The IG Risk Analyst will interact regularly with senior management personnel, technical staff leaders, and project managers. The IG Risk Analyst is expected to perform all job duties in a manner consistent with the Firm’s vision and values, and with a commitment to support the Firm’s privacy and personal data security goals and objectives, producing quality work product, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the development of reports and actions in support of the Firm’s information governance strategy as it relates to privacy, security and access controls that align compliance with Firm certifications and jurisdictional regulations.

Assists in the identification of gaps and deficiencies in existing information risk controls, evaluate deficiencies, and identify remediation action solutions to address deficiencies.

Utilize existing tools (e.g. iManage Threat Manager, Microsoft Purview, Zscaler DLP) to detect, measure, analyze and report on information access issues and anomalies.

Assists in the resolution of information access issues, working cross functions to identify root cause, implement corrective action and prevent recurrence.

Assists with the documentation of information retention policies across administrative departments and jurisdictions.

Coordinates with administrative and office information managers to document information controls, identify measurement definitions, and manage using available tools.

Assists in defining information governance responsibilities and accountabilities by establishing clear guidelines for information governance activities and workflows.

Collaborate with administrative departments, technology resources, attorneys and staff to identify critical information assets, define information quality requirements, and establish information metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaborate with information management teams, including data engineering and application owners to ensure alignment and integration of information governance activities in accordance with Firm information management policies and strategy.

Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging information risk trends, information risk management, regulatory guidance, and industry practices.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated understanding of client and legal requirements around the governance and data lifecycles.

Demonstrated program management skills; including strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong computer skills including - Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint.

Perseverance and agility to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Experience with data monitoring tools, such as enterprise DLP software, data discovery software or application DLP functionality (i.e. Threat Manager, Varonis, Proofpoint, Zscaler DLP, Microsoft Purview Content Search)

EDUCATIONAL/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s level degree.

Three to five years of related work experience in data governance/management.
