Process Engineer - Injection Molding

Location: Libertyville, IL

Salary: $119,300 – $164,100 per year

A global leader in advanced manufacturing is seeking a Principal Process Engineer – Injection Molding to join their high-performing team in Libertyville, IL. This engineer will lead process development, support daily production, and drive improvements across thermoplastic injection molding operations.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and validate molding processes (IQ, OQ, PQ) for production

Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes

Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, and efficiency

Define process parameters and implement process controls

Oversee the installation and validation of new equipment

Train production teams and support technology transfers

What We’re Looking For:

10–15 years of experience in injection molding, tooling, and process development

Experience with scientific molding (RJG / E-Dart preferred)

Familiarity with cleanroom environments (Class 7 or 8)

Skilled in data/statistical analysis using Excel, Minitab, or similar tools

Degree or equivalent experience in plastics or injection molding engineering
