Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in and around Tipton, IA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of $24-28/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:
Finish assembling & welding parts
Weld & fabricate parts using various welding techniques from a variety of materials specified in blueprints
Check measurements, alignment, weld beams, and/or columns together effectively to meet customers requirements
Make adjustments to fit application according to blueprints by cutting and/or griding
Re-cut parts to fit as needed
Cut & drill a variety of materials using acetylene
Cut torch, hand plasma, & mag drill
Work on complex welding layouts
Verify parts, codes, & stamp on top side of assembly
Maintain clean work area with materials off the floor & aisles clutter free
Verify all items are marked correctly & checked as completed on blueprints
Fill out time-sheets with proper job codes & time spent
Move material in and out of facility as needed using forklift
Structural steel welding from blueprints
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
2+ Years of Structural Steel welding Experience
D1.1 Certification or Ability to obtain
Ability to read Blueprints
