What this position entails
IntelliScript’s IT organization has been a key part of our past success and is critical to our future. The DevOps Engineer III position will be crucial in supporting the application lifecycle strategy and supporting the execution of the organization's vision for IntelliScript’s industry-leading software projects. Working closely with the Cloud Engineering, Information Security, and Software Engineering teams, the DevOps Engineer III will contribute to the creation of a modern software delivery pipeline, focused on the enablement of an automated release process and optimized developer experience. This person will be instrumental in ongoing improvements in application lifecycle management, contributing to the move towards increased automation and continuous delivery.
What you’ll be doing
Partner with developers to assist in the migration and consolidation of developer platforms
Continually work towards making improvements in developer experience, and enhancing the software delivery process with an emphasis on project-based work
Lead evaluation and implementation of a CI/CD pipeline, consisting of the capabilities needed to build, test, integrate, monitor, and deploy software in a self-service, secure, and repeatable fashion
Troubleshoot technical issues through optimization, research, and investigation
Continually look for automation opportunities, leading the software delivery process to a continuous deployment model
Partner with Architecture and Cloud Engineering to develop, maintain, and support Cloud architecture blueprints to promote standards and best practices
Collaborate on configuration management methodologies and technologies
Enhance security and governance in the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) via automated compliance checkpoints and stage gates
Promote development best practices, and facilitate collaboration between development, operations, systems engineering and other IT teams
What we need
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with DevOps tooling & practices (Git, CI-CD orchestration software, database automation, configuration-as-code, developing/improving the SDLC process)
Experience with IaC principles and tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Packer)
Experience performing build and release configuration & management
Experience architecting, implementing, and supporting containers in an on-prem and/or cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
Development/related technical expertise (preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment)
Experience working with the following: PowerShell, C#, SQL, Javascript, .NET/.NET Core applications, REST APIs, NuGet and Microsoft Windows infrastructure
Network Architecture basics (TCP/IP, Routing/Switching, SLANs/Subnets, etc.)
Experience with database change automation
Experience with implementing observability tools for APM and DBM (DataDog, New Relic, Solarwinds)
Experience with Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence)
Security/Vulnerability analysis (Github Advanced Security, Snyk)
Static Code Analysis (CodeQL, SonarQube, Coverity)
Experience scripting and consuming REST APIs
Comfortable presenting in group environments
Ability to think both tactically & strategically
Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
Ability to ramp up quickly through self-led discovery with both new technologies and existing technologies

Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI for quarterly PI Planning meetings and one annual company meeting.

Compensation
The overall salary range for this role is $93,700 - $185,440. For candidates residing in:
Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $103,070 - $169,950.
New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $112,440 - $185,440.
All other locations the salary range is $93,700 - $154,500.
A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
