Expert Inside Outside Machinist – Manual

Location: Ft. Lauderale

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Machinist with expert-level capabilities in manual machining. This is a hands-on role for a true craftsman who thrives in a precision-driven environment. You’ll be trusted to work independently, from blueprint to finished component, machining complex parts with tight tolerances and zero margin for error.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture or modify intricate parts from raw stock per technical drawings and specifications

Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws)

Read and interpret complex blueprints, manuals, and technical documents

Use and maintain precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, verniers, and gauges

Mark and layout reference points on raw materials

Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and materials based on job requirements

Ensure high-quality finishes and dimensional accuracy first time through

Fabricate fixtures and jigs to secure irregular or complex workpieces

Qualifications:

Minimum 6 years of hands-on machining experience

Expert-level knowledge of manual practices

Deep understanding of material machining characteristics

Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and documenting results

Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and work instructions

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently without supervision
