Area Sales Manager - Building Products - Base Salary to 150k/year - Nashville, TN
Our client is a specialty building products manufacturer who provides turn-key solutions for commercial projects
They are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, directing, and driving the sales efforts in the assigned area as well as nurturing existing and cultivating new general contractor relationships.
Responsibilities:
Qualifies the scope of work and defines quality projects that match the capabilities and objectives of the company.
Communicates, presents proposals and company-established pricing offers to customers.
Supports and coordinates ongoing project change orders for customer approvals.
Forecasts sales for the territory utilizing CRM pipeline data.
Attends customer events, tradeshows, industry gatherings, and meetings.
Conducts sales and training calls with independent reps.
Conducts job site visits to engage customer site Project Managers.
Manages day-to-day performance and activities using Salesforce.com
Effectively presents and proposes changes and programs to the Channel Sales Manager and leadership team that would help achieve the Company objectives
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
6+ years of progressive experience in a related role, preferably in the multifamily/commercial building products industry.
Established multifamily developer/architect and General Contractor base reputation and standing relationships within the assigned market areas.
Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
This position will require travel 40% of the time.
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
Demonstrated ability to lead and grow sales and create and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
