SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and organizing staff activities to ensure effective and efficient order processing and distribution of product to Customers. Plan, organize, and monitor the distribution processes to ensure Customer delivery satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develop, train, motivate and provide leadership/input to work team. Instruct Load Crew nightly on the specific duties to be accomplished.
Follow specific company guidelines regarding distribution and loading of product for delivery routes. Responsible for load accuracy.
Identify work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. Build loads in most cost-efficient manner to support the other branches and our customer’s needs.
Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers. Monitor/control overtime to a minimum.
Implement and manage Company Merchandising Standards related to work area.
Responsible for interviewing for new hire/staffing needs. Counsels and disciplines as required.
Create correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documentation as required by position.
Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem solving, and appropriate follow-up.
Maintain professional team relationship with co-workers and customers with whom contact is made.
Complete required paperwork daily for product/inventory tracking.
Train, evaluate, and develop team members.
Maintain orderly and clean work area to comply with Company safety policies. Report unsafe conditions to management immediately. Responsible for recycling.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies/procedures.
Responsible for Safety Training and IRB Reporting/database updates for Load Crew.
Notify Warehouse Manager of low or out of stock inventory.
Meet all food safety requirements associated with department.
Maintain an equipment structure to accomplish the distribution goals in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, four (4) to five (5) years supervisory experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction. Ability to present and respond to common inquiries.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to define problems, analyze, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, supplied in both written and verbal format.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license and CDL required, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within Company MVR policy guidelines.
Other Skills and Abilities: Operation of a manual pallet jack and forklift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will be required to wear safety shoes/boots while on duty.
