The team
This position will be part of the team building the next generation user interface for managing any Hitachi Vantara storage and AI products.
The role
Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Kubernetes Architect. The Kubernetes Architect is responsible for designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure to support modern application workloads. This position demands a strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, containerization concepts, and cloud platforms to ensure highly available and scalable solutions. In essence, the Kubernetes Architect acts as the technical leader for Kubernetes deployments, ensuring that the platform is designed, implemented, and managed effectively to support the organization's application needs.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At Least 11 years of experience in Software Development in Java, Go, C# or C++
At least 8 years of experience in working with Linux and Kubernetes.
Designing Kubernetes Clusters:
Strong Understanding of Kubernetes Architecture: Knowledge of the control plane, data plane, core components, and networking concepts.
This includes choosing the right architecture, configuring components (like the control plane and worker nodes), and setting up networking and storage.
Strong Understanding of Kubernetes Architecture: Knowledge of the control plane, data plane, core components, and networking concepts.
Optimizing Kubernetes Performance
This involves tuning configurations, monitoring resource usage, and implementing strategies for scaling and high availability.
Implementation of Kubernetes platform, on-premises, including compute, network, load balancer, storage etc. as per application requirements.
Previous Experience in Kubernetes Platform packaging for commercial release in OVA and ISO formats
Experience in integrating Enterprise storage solution with Kubernetes Platform through CSI driver.
Experience in Setting up and managing container working environments.
Implementing and managing Container registry, platform monitoring, logging and C/CD solution.
Experience in container security.
Responsible for day 2 platform support and on call support in off business hours.
Manage SRE and support activities on 24x7 shifts.
