JOB SUMMARY
Internship Program Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences within a Tribal department or partnering business.
This opportunity is designed to support professional and personal development through structured, real-world work assignments. Participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, a willingness to learn, and contribute meaningfully to their assigned work environment while gaining skills aligned with their career interests and goals.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Professional Conduct:
Arrive on time and be dependable.
Dress appropriately for the assigned worksite.
Treat coworkers, supervisors, and customers with respect.
Be Open to Learning:
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
Accept feedback and apply it to improve performance.
Ask questions when clarification is needed.
Perform Assigned Tasks:
Complete duties as assigned by the site supervisor or internship coordinator.
Stay engaged and take initiative when work is slow.
Follow instructions and work both independently and with teams.
Communicate Effectively:
Check in regularly with site supervisors and/or the Internship Coordinator.
Notify supervisors in advance of any absences or tardiness.
Participate in meetings, check-ins, or workshops as required.
Demonstrate Accountability:
Track hours worked and report time accurately.
Adhere to confidentiality and privacy expectations of the worksite.
Follow all workplace policies and safety procedures.
Uphold a Positive Attitude:
Represent the Muckleshoot Tribal Internship Program with pride.
Show enthusiasm for new tasks and responsibilities.
Handle challenges with maturity and resilience.
Engage in Professional Growth:
Reflect on goals and learning objectives throughout the internship.
Attend training sessions or workshops as scheduled.
Complete evaluations or feedback forms to support program improvement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sit or stand for extended periods, depending on worksite needs. Use a computer, phone, or other standard office equipment as required. Communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing. Walk short distances or navigate work areas as needed (e.g., between departments or within facilities). Occasionally lift and carry materials or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Participate in fieldwork, events, or hands-on activities if applicable to the placement.
