Encore’s continued success and growth has created a need for a Suppression/Standard Products Service Technician working out of our Bethlehem, PA office.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide preventive maintenance inspections and servicing using hand tools and testing equipment.
Perform functional and operational tests on equipment.
Inspect, repair, and replace fire extinguishers and emergency lights.
Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
Replace defective sections of hoses.
Complete and accurately record required information onto system inspection and field reports.
Document deficiencies at the customer level and notify appropriate persons responsible for non-conformance issues.
Evaluate customer's site for additional equipment and services that customers may require.
Maintain company vehicles and appropriate inventory levels for jobs.
Work in compliance with the Company's safety program.
Capability to identify or willingness to learn and understand fire (NFPA) Codes.

High school diploma is required. Industry experience preferred
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel within the state of Maryland
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of complex blueprints and solid written and verbal skills
Familiarity with the national fire codes
Thorough knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and the necessary tools
Ability to work in a wide variety of conditions, including heights up to 30 feet or more and also be able to work inadverse weather conditions
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Experience in lift operations and OSHA guidelines
NAFED certification a plus
