Overview

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Evening/Overnight Supervisor, Security to oversee the work of Security Department employees on the evening/overnight shifts; coordinates work, trains employees, troubleshoots problems that arise on shift.

Responsibilities

With department heads, coordinate staffing patterns to maximize the use of skills and maintain coverage necessary to provide services during assigned shift.

Confers with department heads daily regarding special problems, conditions that may require follow-up action during the shift.

Oversee assignments and projects specifically assigned by department heads.

Oversee work of Security personnel in area of responsibility; makes periodic rounds to ensure employees are at assigned posts and performing duties

Report violations of rules or misconduct to the department head concerned.

Orient/train new employees in assigned areas of work.

Make Quality Assurance rounds on a daily basis; checks patient rooms, public areas, offices and any other rooms in assigned area for neatness, cleanliness; reports any hazardous conditions, defects.

Review work schedules for employees and maintains a daily check list to ensure that scheduled employees are present.

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent is required.

Successful completion of NYS approved Security guard training program and registration as a security guard preferred.

5years of Healthcare-related Support Services experience, preferably in a hospital or related institution required, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Good interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills.

Good Organizational skills

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
