Job Location: Staten Island, New York.
Job Type: Per Diem, 1099 Contract.
Pay Rate: $130/ hr for onsite patient care, $100/ hr for virtual lab review.
Schedule: June 6th and June 13th. 8am - 3:00pm.
Full Description
VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide DOT physical exams on site at a private business in Staten Island, New York. Our office arranges the patient appointments and does the administrative work, giving you the time and luxury to provide clinical one-on-one patient care (usually no more than 20 patients per day).
Responsibilities:
Provide DOT physical exams.
Consult with patients to understand their health concerns.
Advise/ refer patients for follow-up care.
Provide telemedicine services for lab review follow-ups. Requirements:
Active clean Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)/ (FNP-C)/ (FNP-BC)/ Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certified.
Active BLS/ ACLS certification required.
Must be DOT/FMCSA Certified.
A collaborating physician is necessary unless state requirements for independent/autonomous practice are met.
Background in internal medicine, family practice, urgent care, or emergency room preferred.
Proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
Focused on preventive medicine and patient education.
Personal laptop or tablet required.
Able to reliably commute to Staten Island, New York.
