Position Responsibility Summary:
Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Quality Control functions and activities of an assigned portion of the project, under the direction of the Field Quality Control Manager. They also interface with the Owners Team to notify them of inspections and technical issues. The supervisor ensures the implementation of quality plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITP) for direct hire construction activities. They review quality records for conformity, generate quality reports, NCRs, and RFIs, and assign corrective actions to quality-related events. The supervisor may also participate in updating project quality control plans and procedures, as needed.

When necessary, performs examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project management and/or client/owner.
Writes non-conformance reports and issues relevant Quality Records.
Assists project management in selecting construction procedures and tools to meet project specifications.
Reads and interprets engineered drawings and manufacturer manuals.
Verifies procedures and equipment for tests, controls, and inspections and manages documents certifying them.
Resolves quality issues by researching and using problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Mentors team members on quality processes, ITPs, SOPs, and specifications.
Attends staff meetings in the absence of Quality Manager Qualifications
Required Qualifications - Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
5+ years of experience as an inspector and/or coordinator in the oil and gas industry.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Blue Beam, and Co-Console.
In-depth knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, ASNT, ACI, NACE, and IEC codes and standards related to the oil and gas industry.
Proven ability to read and understand multiple types of engineering drawings, manufacturer manuals, and weld symbols.
Organizational skills to plan and schedule inspections and tests.
Ability to lead and attend meetings related to the assigned project.
Excellent communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
Strong ability to drive quality expectations and achieve results is essential.
Ability to train both Quality and non-Quality personnel on Quality processes, expectations, and results.
Current certification(s) in CWI, CIP, ACI, NACE, and/or API. Preferred Qualifications Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
10 years of related field work as a craft supervisor or above.
Relevant educational or certification requirements, such as a degree in engineering, NCCER certification(s) or a quality control certification(s)
The Quality Control Supervisor reports directly to the Field Quality Control Manager or the Project Quality Manager and works within a specific hierarchy and reporting structure.
