Overview:
Our client, a respected leader in the energy and infrastructure industry, is seeking a Sr. Lead Electrical Coordinator to join their team in Houston. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who excels at supervising the installation of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems, with specific expertise in Power Distribution Center (PDC) buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the installation of MV/LV electrical equipment across multiple PDC building projects.
Provide leadership and oversight to electrical craft personnel, ensuring all work is performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with design specifications.
Ensure the proper installation and configuration of MV Switchgear, MV and LV VFDs, and LV Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
Apply in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), particularly regarding spacing and clearances for electrical equipment in PDC environments.
Interface effectively with Senior Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to scope.
Conduct QA/QC inspections and verifications to ensure all installations meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
Monitor project schedules and coordinate workforce and material requirements to maintain efficient workflows. Qualifications:
12-15 years of hands-on and supervisory experience with MV/LV electrical installations.
Strong technical expertise in MV Switchgear, VFDs, LV MCCs, and related systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of NEC code requirements specific to PDC building layouts.
Proven ability to lead and supervise electrical craft teams across multiple, concurrent projects.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to interface with engineering and project leadership teams.
Ability to conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
OSHA safety training and/or electrical safety certifications.
