SAP finance Project Manager

Rates: $70/hr

End client: Bridgebio

6 months contract

We are seeking an experienced Finance Project Manager to lead our SAP-related projects, with a focus on enhancing both management and external reporting.

This role will be instrumental in the implementation within SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Group Reporting and integrations with multiple systems, including but not limited to Workday, Adaptive Planning, Coupa, and Concur.

The Finance Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Finance, IT and our implementation partner, PwC, ensuring alignment with business goals and SOX compliance throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance (Accounting, FP&A), facilitating clear communication and timely issue resolution.

Lead end-to-end project management for the SAP Project initiatives, coordinating across multiple workstreams and ensuring transparency in finance-related decisions.

Collaborate with the IT Program lead and PwC to define, plan, and manage the project's scope, objectives, and timelines.

Ensure that project timelines, milestones, and deliverables align with overall business goals, ensuring SOX compliance at each stage.

Oversee the execution of key deliverables in accordance with the approved plan, including but not limited to management and external reporting by Product, revenue by geographic location and by customer, ensuring each aligns with the business objectives and financial reporting requirements.

Work with IT Program Lead and PwC to ensure testing procedures are performed and documented (unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing) to meet SOX controls and business requirements.

Collaborate with the Director of SOX Compliance to design and implement internal controls related to the project.

Organize and lead regular project meetings to review workstream progress, identify risks, and address any issues.

Provide progress reports and/or regular updates to stakeholders (Finance and FP&A) and to management ensuring alignment on project status and performance.

Work with the IT Program Lead and PwC on any integrations with other systems (e.g. Workday, Adaptive Planning, Coupa, Concur), ensuring they meet financial reporting needs and business objectives.

Collaborate with the IT Program Lead and PwC to develop process and technical design documents outlining business process changes and system configurations. • Ensure the status of the projects is in accordance with the approved plans and budgets. Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

BS/BA in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of relevant project management experience.

A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CPA) is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA) and integrations with systems such as Workday, Adaptive Planning, Coupa, and Concur.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of SOX requirements and experience implementing SOX compliant processes in financial systems.

Ability to navigate complex projects and ensure compliance with business needs and requirements.

Capable of managing multiple workstreams and resolving issues proactively.

Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
