Job Description Summary

This position leads Lamb Weston's North America logistics operations and maintains a matrixed reporting relationship with Global logistics procurement leader, which has responsibility for total spending in excess of $500MM. This role is accountable for strategic sourcing strategies, logistics service performance, cost recovery, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating internally/externally regarding distribution network opportunities while ensuring quality and service requirements are met. As a senior leader in supply chain, this position also participates in or leads high visibility strategic supply chain initiatives.

Job Description

Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development and execution of collaborative logistics strategy

Partners with Procurement on negotiations to establish and execute against robust supply agreements across our distribution network; supporting North American rail and refrigerated logistics operations, including US, Canada, and Mexico.

Own Global Logistics Network strategy, providing guidance to global regions and guidance on global supplier negotiation strategy and process for transportation and warehousing.

Lead integrated development and execution of transportation and warehousing risk management and procurement strategies for consistent, high-quality service.

Manage effective Network Optimization initiatives, balancing business and functional needs. This includes projects related to future network footprint and operating models.

Establish and manage annual budgets for transportation, warehousing, and cost recovery.

Drive continuous improvement and transformation efforts related to the ERP system, ensuring a robust pipeline of inflation offset opportunities. Collaborate with technology teams to enhance internal systems and build a roadmap and strategy for future capabilities.

Drive performance with third-party logistics carriers to ensure timely product pickup and delivery to meet customer demand.

Develop and evolve warehouse KPIs; guide implementation of continuous improvement programs to deliver best in class results.

Develop and implement contracts for Global Freight Forwarder handling imports/exports of finished goods, ingredients, packaging, equipment, and raw materials.

Bring together Finance and Sales teams with Logistics to develop logistics rate guides for customer decision-making.

Lead team to deliver performance at owned warehouse at expected throughput and cost to ensure service levels are met.

Support the launch of future warehouses, including hiring and developing teams. Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree Preferred

Minimum 15 years' experience in a Supply Chain role

Familiarity with Supply Chain principles in a global environment

In depth knowledge of ocean, rail, and over the road transportation operations

Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, regulatory requirements and best practices

Demonstrated ability to contribute in a collaborative, continuous improvement environment

Demonstrated leadership, business acumen and development of strategic opportunities

Demonstrated ability to influence management as well as leadership acumen

Demonstrated ability in partnership development and change leadership

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $200,810.00 - $301,210.00
