Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Engineer works with the Quality Assurance Manager and other personnel to track and improve product quality.

Work on projects specifically related to improving product quality

Track effectiveness of projects with data analysis tools

Conduct root cause investigations and develop effective corrective and preventive actions

Collect cost/benefit data to justify projects and present to management

Investigate application of new technologies to improve quality

Maintain and improve quality databases and reporting systems

Lead quality improvement teams of employees from all departments

Work with design engineers to implement changes which improve quality

Communicate with customers to resolve complaints

Coordinate with customers to resolve complaints

Visit customer’s locations to discuss product quality

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE or ME) from an accredited university

Willing to work 45-hour work week

Willing to travel occasionally (<10%)

Good written and oral communication skills

Enthusiastic, fast learner, self-starter, problem solver

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Statistical analysis skills and knowledge of quality systems is a plus

Quality certifications a plus (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, etc.)

Experience or knowledge of transformers or electrical products a plus
