Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Integrity Analyst (CDI-A) will be assisting various hospitals with the implementation of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) tool. The CDI-A will work closely with the healthcare providers, coding staff, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation, which is crucial for patient care, compliance, and reimbursement. This role involves extensive travel, hands-on training, and support for hospital staff to effectively utilize the tool. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in medicine/ surgery or license as a physician assistant or registered nurse.2. Minimum of 1+ year’s clinical experience in an acute care setting.3. Knowledge of nursing care, clinical measurement tools, and clinical outcomes; ability to establish a cooperative working relationship with diverse groups and individuals, the medical staff, and other healthcare disciplines; program and database development.4. Working knowledge of the Medicare reimbursement system and coding structures.5. Strong broad-based clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology / physiology of disease processes.6. Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective partnering relationships with physicians, nurse staff, and hospital management staff.7. Working knowledge of inpatient admission criteria.8. Excellent written, verbal communication, and critical thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications: 1. ECFMG Certified2. Certification as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)3. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
