This critical leadership role supports the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in all aspects of clinical oversight and operations across Ohio’s Regional Psychiatric Hospitals (RPHs), and collaborates with key departmental offices and external partners to advance the highest standards of care for individuals served by the department.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist the CMO in the supervision and oversight of clinical care in state-operated RPHs.
Consult and collaborate on clinical and policy issues with internal offices and bureaus, including PASRR, Forensic Services, Hospital Services, and others.
Lead the development, review, and update of clinical rules, policies, and guidelines to ensure alignment with Ohio law, administrative rules, Joint Commission (JC) standards, CMS regulations, and current clinical best practices.
Represent the CMO on various hospital and medical committees.
Actively engage in cross-departmental workgroups such as Trauma-Informed Care, Suicide Reduction, Behavioral Health benefit redesign, and strategic planning efforts.
Deliver presentations and represent the department at professional forums as requested.
Lead the clinical oversight of the EMR.
Supervise Chief Clinical Officers across our six psychiatric hospitals.
Oversee quality improvement initiatives and supporting Joint Commission compliance efforts.

Qualifications:
Certificate to practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board pursuant to Section 4731.14 & 4731.281 of Revised Code.
