Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Business Analyst to join our Data and Reporting Team within the Capital Partners Systems Organization. This group plays a crucial role in executing data strategy initiatives and enabling robust reporting solutions across the CP organization. The primary focus of this role is to support data strategy initiatives, including the transition from legacy data sourcing processes to a newer data platform. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, QA teams, and project managers to analyze data transformation logic, define and catalog data elements, and support end-to-end implementation efforts.

Data Strategy & Analysis

Analyze current state legacy data sourcing and transformation logic.

Document data flows, mappings, and transformation rules from legacy to target systems.

Partner with business-side data teams to define data definitions and support enterprise data cataloging efforts.

Work with data architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Understand and interpret existing code base to support data analysis and documentation.

Documentation & Business Requirements

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), functional specs, and data mapping documents.

Maintain and organize documentation in Confluence; manage stories and tasks in JIRA following standard workflows.

Document existing systems, interfaces, and data dependencies.

Project Support & Collaboration

Participate in project planning and development tracking activities.

Facilitate and coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with stakeholders.

Collaborate with QA teams to develop test scenarios and support issue resolution.

Run and coordinate project meetings, track action items, and escalate issues as needed.

Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment on data strategy, architecture, and implementation.

Technical Proficiency

Prepare SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Utilize Excel for data review, analysis, and documentation.

Support and track JIRA tickets throughout the SDLC process.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role within data-focused initiatives.

Experience in financial services, ideally in Investment Management, Fund Accounting, or Private Banking.

Strong SQL skills with ability to extract and analyze data independently.

Experience preparing detailed BRDs, data mapping documents, and working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Excel.

Preferred:

Understanding of data modeling concepts and data governance frameworks.

Prior involvement in legacy system modernization or data platform migration projects.

Familiarity with metadata cataloging and data stewardship concepts.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Salary Range

$75,000- $130,000

BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations.
