Position Title: DevSecOps Software Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL (Onsite, Closed Area)
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Schedule: Full-Time 9x80 (Every other Friday off)
What You’ll Do
Automate software builds, configurations, and deployments using tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Lead Agile team practices using Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
Collaborate in a closed-area environment to develop secure, scalable capabilities.
Work with modern cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Write, review, and maintain software and automation code in Python, Java, Bash, and PowerShell.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and:
2+ years experience, or
5+ years experience (alternate role level), or
9+ years experience for senior-level openings.
Experience in:
Agile development principles
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
DevSecOps practices
Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus)
Source control (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
Desired Skills
Experience deploying on Kubernetes clusters.
Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm.
Familiar with both Windows (PowerShell) and UNIX/Linux (Shell, Bash, Python, C++) scripting environments.
Deep understanding of branching strategies, gated commits, and source-controlled development.
