This position is located in Lake County, Painesville, Ohio.
Ohio State University Extension (OSUE) seeks a Program Assistant to work programmatically with county staff and volunteers to plan, conduct, and teach programs in Lake County in 4-H Youth Development programming targeted to local and area needs. The Program Assistant will support the 4-H Youth Development program by assisting and teaching specific educational programs relating to STEM, youth training programs, 4-H school enrichment programs, Real Money Real World Program, Carteens Program, 4-H project evaluation events, and camp. The program assistant will work closely with the Lake County Solid Waste District to design, implement, and teach 4-H STEM based curriculum for school students and public adult groups to meet the goals of the Lake County Solid Waste District. The Program Assistant will attend any special collection events held by the Solid Waste District to provide educational information to the public and to keep and report collection statistics. Additionally, the Program Assistant will provide support to 4-H related county level events and opportunities including training/meetings. The Program Assistant will work with partner agencies to schedule events and activities and assist with other 4-H information.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
The pay range for this profile is $16.49 - $21.69/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
