The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Research Technician to participate in planning and execution of research projects in the Division of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy; works under the guidance of senior lab members to plan and execute molecular biological and biochemical procedures, including cell culture, SDS-PAGE/western blotting, RT-PCR, transfection, ELISAs, uptake/transport, isolation of DNA, RNA and protein, and other similar methodologies; collects, generates, analyzes and interprets research data, including analyses of imaging data; maintains detailed research records; supports murine pharmacology studies; assists with development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques; supports clinical pharmacology study design and integration of clinical pharmacology components into clinical protocols; performs critical analysis of literature relevant to research being performed; assists in the preparation of project reports, research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation; assists in the preparation of proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research; follows established laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and local, state and federal regulations; performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's in pharmaceutical sciences or similar life sciences, or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of relevant experience required. Formal training and experience in preclinical and clinical pharmacology, cell culture; application of safe laboratory practices within a pharmacology research laboratory.

Desired Qualifications: Management of clinical pharmacology data obtained from active early phase clinical trials in oncology

Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $15.70 - $20.67. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
