The competent Nurse, with relevant clinical experience, practices independently, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care per nursing standards, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
Administers medications and treatments using proper protocols, monitors effects, and documents all care activities.
Provides patient and family education, assessing learning needs and utilizing appropriate resources.
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, with at least 1 year of related experience preferred. Active RN license (state or compact) and current ACLS certification are required.
New hires must attend orientation, complete competency validations, and obtain required certifications within specified grace periods. Experience in critical care is preferred but not mandatory for new graduates.
Work schedule is per diem as needed.
