Responsibilities include applying nursing standards, assessing and addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, administering medications, monitoring effects, documenting care, and providing patient and family education.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, minimum 1 year of related experience, RN license in the state or compact, and BLS certification. Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and others are required within specified timeframes.
New hires undergo orientation and competency validation, with ongoing annual requirements. Credential grace periods vary based on experience and certification type.
