Functional Rehabilitation Specialist Assistant (COTA) - Pediatrics

The Wound Care Nurse provides clinical consultation and support for managing complex wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence, ensuring evidence-based practices for skin integrity and wound management.

Responsibilities include managing wound care programs to achieve quality patient outcomes and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop patient education.

Develops and implements educational programs for patients, staff, and providers to promote best practices.

Requires a graduate of an accredited RN program, current NM nursing license, BLS, and ideally, specialty wound care certification (CWCN, CWON, CWOCN).

Must have at least two years of acute care experience, with specific experience managing complex wounds and ostomies.

Skills include excellent communication, teaching, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred.

Works under supervision of wound care leadership in a dynamic environment, handling multiple activities and emergencies while maintaining safety and proper body mechanics.
