The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers patient care tailored to the specific age group, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in accordance with unit standards.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license (NM or Compact). BLS required within 2 weeks; other certifications within 6 months.
Possesses current knowledge of patient care techniques, respects patient rights, and communicates effectively suited to developmental stages.
Reports to the Patient Care Director or Manager; works in a clean, well-ventilated environment with exposure to infectious risks, requiring physical stamina and dexterity.
Must handle emergencies, perform prolonged standing/walking, and manage physical tasks like repositioning patients. Visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and flexibility are essential.
