Description:
The Nurse, with similar clinical experience, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care.
Provides routine and complex nursing care, planning long-term goals and managing clinical contingencies.
Delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to ensure effective patient management.
Meets competency expectations, utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their practice level.
Administers medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Requires a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of related experience (preferred), BLS certification, and an active RN license in the state of employment or compact.
