Provides clinical consultation and support for complex wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence management.
Ensures evidence-based practices in skin integrity, wound care, and incontinence.
Manages wound care programs to achieve quality patient outcomes.
Collaborates with healthcare team to develop patient education and creates educational programs for patients, staff, and providers.
Requirements include RN licensure, BLS certification, with preferred specialty wound care certification (CWCN, CWON, or CWOCN).
Skills involve excellent communication, educational planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching, and problem-solving; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Must have at least 2 years of acute care experience managing complex wounds and ostomies.
Reports to wound care leadership and works in an environment with exposure to infectious agents and emergency situations.
Physical demands include standing, walking, patient handling, and operation of hospital equipment.
