**Job Summary:**

The Master Scheduler is accountable for creating monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that meet demand requirements from the sales and operation planning (S&OP) process. Utilizes capacity analysis and customer service policies to govern schedules and finished product inventory plans. Responsible for creating and executing master scheduling time horizons and periods in accordance with business strategies and policies. May be responsible for master plans for single or multiple plants. Works with operations and unit managers, supervisors, material planners, schedulers, raw material & supplier management, and customer service. Responsible for continuous improvement of the master scheduling process and performance.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Develops the weekly Master Production Schedule at the detailed level (disaggregate/SKU) by translating the S&OP monthly aggregate Production Plan for the master production schedule (MPS) horizon considering all demand and requirements for production.

+ Maintains and communicates a valid time-phased master schedule.

+ Implement, execute, and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) policies to ensure stability and responsiveness.

+ Maintains and provide valid Available to Promise (ATP) data.

+ Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity for the MPS horizon.

+ Utilize “what if” simulations to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact and execute the approved changes effectively.

+ Recommend disposition of obsolete or slow moving inventories as appropriate.

+ Participate with manufacturing and/or technology in the structure of Material Master/BOMs/recipes.

+ Key interface with sales, demand management, customer service, marketing, engineering and production for the purpose of satisfying customer requirements.

+ Key interface back to Master Planner and Asset Scheduler when required.

+ Responsible for key master production planning metrics, root cause and corrective action.

+ Maintains accurate data to support the master scheduling process (e.g. lead times, lot sizes, product wheel, and other operating rules and conditions).

+ Requires conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and developing knowledge of related job disciplines.

+ Has developed a detailed understanding of key business drivers through multiple years of experience.

+ May supervise or act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

+ Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team.

+ Begins to work independently with minimal to moderate guidance.

+ Analyzes potential solutions to problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects) using experience, judgment and precedents.

+ Work requires judgment and consideration of future implications beyond the immediate problem.

**Education & Experience** :

Required:

+ Bachelor’s in material management, supply chain, engineering, or business degree.

+ 3 to 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field.

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office – especially Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Experience with SAP ERP system.

+ Fluent in English.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Responsible, positive working attitude and self-motivative, being able to work under pressure.

Preferred:

+ Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) interface experience.

+ APICs CPIM certification.
