Human Resources Generalist - Manufacturing facility - Aluminum Recycling
Real Alloy is looking for an experienced, skilled HR Generalist to join our Chicago Heights leadership team. If you like helping the people you work with, promoting a positive culture, and getting the job done, we are interested in learning more about your background and accomplishments.
As a business partner to the plant leadership team, you'll help drive a positive employee culture. Our ideal candidate for this position will be a talented HR Generalist with a broad knowledge of Human Resources processes including federal, state, and local employment laws. You will be responsible for processing and maintaining all employee related records, recruiting employees, administering payroll, and day-to-day administration of HR related activities.
Our ideal HR Generalist will provide support to the Regional HR Manager with performance management, employee engagement, coaching and development, succession planning, workforce planning and employee relations.
Responsibilities include:
Processing payroll and related reporting.
Interacting with plant employees on the plant floor.
Completing new-hire process including requisitions, recruiting, and on-boarding processes.
Maintaining HR related training documents.
Providing necessary training.
Developing the local employee communication program.
Compiling and analyzing statistical reports concerning key HR metrics (i.e., recruitment and EEO, headcount, and turnover) and advising Human Resources Management & Plant Leadership on areas of concern.
Qualifications
If you are an individual with:
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a generalist role. A strong background in recruiting and employee engagement, in a manufacturing/industrial setting is preferred.
Minimum of a 4-year degree in HR/related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organizational skills are essential.
Proven ability to function successfully with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of relevant employment laws.
Very strong computer skills and analytical skills are required.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office products. Experience with UKG/Dimensions preferred.
