* Keep all employee records regarding attendance, addresses, continuing education, evaluations, etc.
* Prepare payroll to include edits, sick leave, overtime, shift differential, and acts as backup to Director.
* Type all reports, letters, procedure manuals, minutes, etc.
* Take minutes of departmental meetings and type them.
* Prepare the monthly statistical reports and to include workload statistics, workload summaries, QA blood bank report, critical values report, monthly report and submit them prior to the deadline.
* Assist with annual budget preparations.
* Prepare orders and maintain inventory of supplies held in warehouse, this is to also include maintenance of standing orders.
* Prepare invoices for payment as needed and submit to data processing prior to deadline.
* Maintain the financial records and statistical analysis * • Oversees Lab Policy Manual updates and biannual printing.
* Take charge of answering phones and routing calls.
* Coordinates the operations at the Lab front desk including overseeing efficiency and effectiveness, training staff as needed.
* Alter and/or implement operational changes as needed, and provide other coverage and assistance as needed.
* Works the Lab front desk as necessary.
* Prepares clerical schedules as well as handling clerical employee call-ins.
* Counsels all employees as necessary insuring appropriate documentation.
* Coordinates preparation of the LabCorp and Quest, Villa, LWV, Escreen client bills.
* Handle patient and client bill error resolution both at the accession/account level as well as at the client account level and outstanding client balance.
* Investigate and communicate issues directly to clients to resolve Education / Experience: * High School diploma or equivalent Required * 2 years secretarial experience preferred
