Under general direction, makes necessary adjustments to the production tables or machinery to conform to design shapes or pattern; performs any and all jobs on an assembly or sub-assembly line to produce building material components or millwork products; responsible for quality control of finished products.
* Interprets design documents in order to make necessary changes to the production tables or machinery to conform to set-up sheets, work orders, drawings or blueprints; ensures conformance with component or millwork specifications.
* Plans and assigns work tasks among assembly team in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related production goals.
* Performs job tracking and reporting, overseeing the efficiency and output of assembler team.
May provide input for performance appraisals.
* Trains new assembler employees in the tasks required for component or millwork assembly work, including actual assembly techniques, use of tools and machinery, and safety guidelines and procedures.
Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and four (4) years of component or millwork assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble either building materials components or millwork products.
