We Are a Dynamic Atlanta-Based Personal Injury Law Firm Seeking a Chief Operating Officer
This is an executive-level operations position ideal for candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a COO, Director of Operations, or VP of Operations. The role involves executing quarterly business objectives through effective leadership of personnel, finance, facilities, and business systems. You will play a significant role in shaping the firm’s culture. Candidates must have experience managing a team of more than 12 people and overseeing a budget of $10 million or more. This position is critical and reports directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess the following qualities: - Ability to provide effective solutions - High energy level - Strong conflict resolution skills (not conflict avoidance) - Metrics-driven and obsessed with key performance indicators (KPIs) - Ability to deliver success through others - Proven track record of driving gross revenue and profit
You will be required to demonstrate evidence of prior success with:
Business process refinement and systems management to ensure profitable operation of the Firm
Systems management to ensure matters are handled appropriately so that client needs are met, legal and ethical requirements are met, and clients receive excellent service
Employee leadership, performance management, supervision (and termination)
Understand and use common financial reports to make decisions (budget variance, PL, cashflow forecast)
Management of bookkeeper, accountant, technology systems, and other vendors
Demonstrated record of success leading operations in professional services industry. Knowledge of personal injury law is helpful, but not required.
Bachelors in Business is Required; MBA preferred
Experience and passion for working in a fast-growing organization
SHRM or HRCI certifications a plus
