Responsibilities
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) ensures that technology systems and procedures at University Hospital lead to positive outcomes in line with business, patient, and service goals. The role of the CIO is focused on service analysis, data security, and market reach. Oversees the development of innovative technology and digital products and approaches to delivering patient care and services to the customers and partners of University Hospital. Provides strategic business and technological leadership, while aligning IT objectives and programs with the overall strategic priorities of UH. Uses innovation to differentiate University Hospital as a health care provider that provides quality, service, and exceptional care to its customers (patients, staff, and partners) thereby building long-term community and customer relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required. Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Information Technology, at least seven (7) years’ experience delivering healthcare specific technology solutions, and services, and information management required. A Master’s degree in health/hospital administration, public health, business administration, or a related field is highly preferable. Significant experience in healthcare technology, specifically in technology and information system planning to support business and operational goals and a proven track record of delivering consumer-focused digital experiences.
