Toolmaker

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker for a 2nd shift position at one of our customers in Springfield, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly, with proficiency in using tools such as stamping presses, lathes, calipers, and software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:

Repair and install die sensor and safety devices. Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Use various tools and equipment to fabricate and assemble precision tools

Operate stamping presses, lathes, calipers, and other machinery

Perform machining operations to create components with tight tolerances

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure tool designs meet specifications

Experience:

- Mechanical knowledge is essential

- Proficiency in using stamping presses, lathes, calipers

- Ability to repair dies

- Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
