The Department of Orthopaedics in The MetroHealth System is seeking an additional board eligible/board certified, fellowship-trained general pediatric orthopaedic surgeon. The MetroHealth System is a premier academic medical center affiliated with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), and one of the three hospital systems that comprise the Case Orthopaedics Residency Program. As a major teaching facility, MetroHealth serves as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, Level I Adult Trauma Center, and the Burn Center for Northeastern Ohio. Metro manages one of the busiest air transport services in the United States. In addition to being part of the University Hospitals/Case Orthopaedic residency and fellowship programs, the hospital is also integrated with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation orthopaedic surgery residency and several fellowship programs. Metro is one of the 4 core teaching hospitals affiliated with CWRU School of Medicine.

Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. The position will be within a busy Pediatric Orthopedic Division, which is part of the Neuromuscular Skeletal Service Institute and currently served by Metro and Rainbow faculty. In addition to treating a high volume of pediatric trauma cases, the ideal candidate will have a clinical and academic interest in general pediatric orthopedic conditions, including limb deformity correction, hip diseases, foot and ankle, cerebral palsy, and other neuromuscular conditions. The candidate will have the opportunity to fully develop and lead clinical and research programs in one or several of these areas of subspecialty expertise.

Faculty Appointment at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will be commensurate upon experience.
