Position Focus:

Reporting to the YSM Director of Communications, the Video Producer serves as the primary staff person responsible for aiding in the development, creation, and implementation of all non-concert and event video production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Management and execution of the video production process from initial conception to final file delivery.

Assist Director in the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of video projects.

Works with YSM’s Communications Officer to develop the video narrative and concept, as well as in the interviewing of video subjects.

Ability to coordinate video shoots, setup and operate equipment, and conduct interviews in various locations.

Post production responsibilities include editing, color correcting, audio mixing, graphic creation, and delivering digital files in a timely and efficient manner.

Schedule and manage student crew and freelance crew as necessary.

Advanced knowledge of high-level production equipment and software, including Panasonic VariCam LT and Adobe Creative Suite. Blackmagic Resolve and AVID Pro Tools knowledge a plus.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skill/Ability 1:

Basic computer networking, shared file server management, and knowledge of Mac OSX.

Required Skill/Ability 2:

Proficiency with codecs and file types, maintaining file structures and archives.

Required Skill/Ability 3:

Advanced knowledge of high-level production equipment and software, including Panasonic VariCam LT and Adobe Creative Suite. Blackmagic Resolve and AVID Pro Tools knowledge a plus.

Required Skill/Ability 4:

Motion graphic or animating experience preferred.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry 30+ pounds for brief periods of time, stand and sit for long periods of time, climb ladders, and work for extended periods of time (including occasional nights and weekends).
