Summary:
Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, following established standards and practices.
Performs lab procedures, including phlebotomy, and assists with examinations, treatments, and patient flow.
Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, documents patient information, and assists with medication refills.
Administers medications and immunizations as ordered, and maintains cleanliness and stock of exam rooms and equipment.
Completes clerical duties such as charting, filing, and forms processing.
Attends training and performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements include graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program, valid state license, current BLS certification, and preferred prior medical office experience.
