The LPN/LVN administers bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients per the care plan, under RN supervision and state Nurse Practice Act.
Provides direct patient care, evaluates needs, and assists in care planning.
Performs treatments, administers medications, and monitors patient reactions.
Reports significant changes to RNs, documents accurately, and maintains a safe environment.
Supports interdisciplinary team efforts and fosters therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Educates families about illness, care, and discharge planning.
Participates in on-call rotations, maintains flexibility for weekends and shifts.
Qualifications include a Practical/Vocational Nursing diploma, current license, and at least one year of hospital adult medical-surgical experience.
Requires physical ability to assist with patient transfers and perform other duties.
